1 bushel equals approximately 42-48 pounds or about 120 medium size apples.  This would be enough for about 20 - 9" pies or 14-19 quarts of applesauce.

We will have many U-Pick varieties available this year.  Some varieties that weren't available before have been added in a special U-Pick area for your convenience.

We have small wagons that you can pull out to the orchard and the pumpkin patch to gather the produce you desire.  We will provide you with baskets and  plastic bags for the apples.  We don't allow anyone on a ladder for your own protection.  Cars are not allowed in the orchard.

Most of the varieties will be in the market as well.  They are all the same price whether we pick them or you pick them.

U-Pick varieties include Blondee, Gala, McIntosh, Honeycrisp, Cortland,  Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Idared,  Fuji, and Cameo.  They are listed in the order in which they ripen from August to late October.

How many apples do you need?

Apples are sold by the single apple, 1/4 peck, 1/2 peck, 1/2 bushel and bushel.

One pound of apples equals 2 large, 3 medium, or 4 to 5 small apples.  One pound equals approximately three cups peeled, sliced or diced apple.
Allow 6-8 medium apples for a 9" pie.
